Project description
The proper personal protective equipment (PPE) can mean the difference between an employee going home at the end of the shift to enjoy their life, or them going to the emergency room during their shift and having a lifelong effect on their quality of life. By instructing all new employees of the importance of wearing the proper PPE within their first few days of employment and before they go on to the production floor can develop the habit of always wearing the proper protection. This can then lead to a safer and more safety-conscious workforce, which will in turn lower incident rates. With fewer incidents, there will be a lower cost for workers' compensation insurance premiums.
Along with the PPE training there will be training on behavioral based safety. This training will give the learner the basic tools to complete an observation and conversation in regards to a co-worker who is working in an unsafe manner or making unsafe choices. This will start with observing other learners and co-workers who are not using the proper PPE. The more advanced observation skills will be developed for observing the whole task or job from there.
Aim
This training will aim to give all new hires the basic information they will need to do their jobs in a safe manner.
Target audience
The target audience will be all new hires starting at Company ABC.
